Police in Dundee are appealing for information following an assault during the Dundee United vs Hearts game at Tannadice Stadium yesterday.
Around 4.40pm on Sunday, 10 August, 2025, a lighter was thrown from the George Fox stand and struck a Hearts player.
He was not injured.
Constable Matthew Boath said: “This was an unacceptable and reckless act that could have resulted in injury.
“Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am asking anyone who was at the game or who saw what happened to get in touch with us.”
