Drew Kemp once again proved inspirational for struggling Berwick Jewson Bandits in the Cab Direct Championship.

He powered to 15 points as the Borders combine drew 45-45 with Oxford Cheetahs, the league’s third-placed team, at Shielfield.

Berwick, who are seventh in the nine-strong table, then triumphed in the Superheat but the only downside of a tremendous night was that Oxford took the aggregate bonus point over the two legs.

Scott Nicholls was top man for Oxford with 17 points on the night.

Elsewhere, Plymouth edged Scunthorpe 46-43 and but Scunthorpe took the aggregate bonus point while Workington won 47-43 at home to Redcar. The Teeside club took the aggregate bonus.
