Heart of Midlothian FC have invited all fans and their families to join in the club’s march as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

The procession will be from the Haymarket War Memorial Memorial to Tynecastle Park and the date is Saturday, July 13, in advance of the pre-season friendly between Hearts and London-based, Leyton Orient.

A total of 150 pipers and drummers will lead supporters of both teams on a march up the Maroon Mile and, in addition to the massed pipes and drums, Leyton Orient’s O’s Bugle Band will also play along the route.

Drum Major, Mike Lindsay, will lead the bands past the club’s Memorial at Haymarket. Club officials and dignitaries will file in behind the bands, followed by supporters.

An selection of bands will perform on the Plaza, including the Tynecastle High Pipe Band, with their special rendition of the Hearts Song.

Tickets for the match are £10 and £5 for children and concessions.

Supporters are asked to gather in Morrison Street from 12.45pm for the beginning of the procession.
