The Royal Highland Show opens on Thursday next week and one of the best ways to get there is to use public transport – in particular the tram which is wrapped to advertise the event.

Services will run as usual every seven minutes and the Ingliston Park and Ride stop is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the show ground. There is also a free shuttle bus to transport passengers from the park and ride site to the east gate of the Royal Highland Centre.

Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams’ Head of Service Delivery, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the show’s organisers again this year while ensuring people can attend a fantastic array of rural activities and exhibitions with as little fuss as possible.

“We’re certain this new tram wrap has already received plenty of attention across the city, proving there is truly something for everyone at the Royal Highland Show.”

Families and groups travelling together can benefit from Edinburgh Trams’ popular ‘Family Day Tripper Ticket’, which costs only £8 and offers unlimited travel for up to two adults and three children, between Ingliston Park & Ride and Newhaven. More information can be found on edinburghticket.com.

The Royal Highland Show will take place on June 20 – 23, and tickets can be purchased here.
