Hibs sent Livingston home after a comfortable win with three goals in the first half scored by Jordan Obita, Myziane Matilda and Adam Le Fondre.

Hibs manager Nick Montgomery was pleased with his team and said afterwards that it was a “real professional performance”.

Although it was widely predicted that Hibs would win this match Montgomery said: ““All credit to Livingston, they put up a good fight and I have a lot of respect for David Martindale. It’s not easy against a team fighting for their lives, they fought for David Martindale right until the last minute, so it was important today that we stuck to the gameplan and played our football.”

Hibs are now in halfway spot in the cinch Premiership table with 38 points, but Celtic and Rangers with 71 and 70 points each are ahead of Hearts with 55. Livingston are now at the bottom of the table 10 points behind Ross County on 27.
