National Museum of Scotland

In just a couple of weeks the museum will stage the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in a special exhibition gallery on Level 3.

The exhibition is on loan from the Natural History Museum in London and has showcased some of the best photography in the last 60 years.

This year there were 49,957 entries all of which were judged anonymously during “one intense week” by an international panel. The tour allows the photos to be seen by more than a million people – although the museum warns that some people may find the images upsetting.
