Watsonians have one aim in mind when they clash with Glasgow University in a key women’s Premiership fixture at Peffermill on Tuesday.

That is to regain top spot in the table and after Saturday’s disappointment of a 4-2 defeat to Edinburgh University at the same venue which ended their 13 game unbeaten run this season.

They now trail the students by three points but victory would put Watsonians back in pole position as they have a superior goal difference of five.

Watsonians opposition currently prop up the top six table having lost their last three games and they have 15 points. Watsonians have 37.

The Edinburgh side have scored 87 goals – the best in the division – in their 14 games so far and conceded 13, the second best to Edinburgh University who have only let in nine in 15 outings.

Glasgow have scored 25 and conceded 35, so Watsonians are odds-on to record their 13th win of the campaign.

Admission is free and push back is at 20.10.
