Additional late-night trams and a free shuttle bus are being laid on to help festival goers enjoy what promises to be a ‘spooktacular’ music event in Edinburgh this weekend.
Trams usually run every seven minutes throughout the day, but on Saturday 29 October music fans can take advantage of additional services, running until around 12.45am to get home from the Terminal V Halloween festival.
A free shuttle bus will link the tram stop at Ingliston Park & Ride with The Royal Highland Centre which will be home to the line-up of global acts and mind-bending production during the 12-hour event.
Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “Terminal V is by far the biggest dance music event in Scotland, and we are delighted to be able to support this festival by working with the organisers to ensure Halloween lovers can safely get back home or to their accommodation once sets finish at 12am.
“Trams will serve all stops between Ingliston Park & Ride and St Andrew Square, and with day return tickets costing just £3.40, travelling to and from the venue couldn’t be easier.
“Upon arrival at the Ingliston Park & Ride tram stop, music fans can board the free shuttle bus, which will run at regular intervals to The Royal Highland Centre, to have a taste of some of the best electronic music, including Anetha, DJ Hell, and Reinier Zonneveld.”
Under-22-year-olds with a Scottish National Entitlement Card or a Young Scot National Entitlement Card and who are Edinburgh residents are able to travel on the tram for free.
