Scotland return to action tonight after securing a spot in the UEFA EURO 2020 Play-Off final on Thursday night.

Now attention returns to the Nations League campaign where the Scots who currently sit top of Group face Slovakia at Hampden Park.

Steve Clarke has added Hibs’ on-form full-back Paul McGinn and Aberdeen’s Andy Considine to his squad, with Stuart Armstrong, Kieran Tierney and Ryan Christie all unavailable due to coronavirus.

Hibs centre half Ryan Porteous will be hoping to get his first cap after his second senior call-up, having been a late call-up previously at the tail end of last year.

Porteous is joined from the Under-21s by Ross McCrorie, who earns his first call-up to the A squad. The young midfielder scored Scotland’s second goal in Friday’s 2-0 win over Czech Republic at Tynecastle.

Scotland are now unbeaten in their last six matches and the manager Steve Clarke is eager to see that momentum carried in to Sunday’s clash at Hampden.

He said: “We’re trying to build something. It takes time but you have to slowly build character, confidence and quality too – that will come. The more results we can string together, the better we will become.

“This break is bringing a lot games in quick succession so we know it will be a big shift from everyone, but we have a chance to continue to build momentum in the group.”

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event, kicking off at 7:45pm.
