Edinburgh Delivers – The Little Chartroom

In light of the new restrictions announced by The Scottish Government this week, restaurants and pubs in Edinburgh will be closed from Friday 9 October at 6pm.

The Little Chartroom is an award-winning neighbourhood bistro, in Edinburgh, run by Great British Menu finalist, Roberta Hall-McCarron and her husband Shaun McCarron.

From 9 October at 6pm the restaurant will be offering an “at home” meal delivery service every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until they re-open on Thursday 29 October.

The three-course set menu is paired with a bottle of wine and priced at £65 for two people. The menu will change weekly and comes with instructions on how to reheat at home (where necessary). The team have increased their delivery capacity and have struck up a partnership with Mothership HQ to offer delicious pre-batched cocktails.

From Friday 9th October, the restaurant’s pop up on Portobello Prom will also re-open again after a successful summer of trading.

The Little Chartroom On The Prom serves up a tasty BBQ takeaway menu. The new opening hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Roberta said: “It’s quite a daunting time, the support that was mentioned is really unclear and will leave a lot of businesses worried until more information is announced. I think this is even worse than the initial lockdown, back then we had the full furlough scheme and decent government support packages. I am not really surprised by the announcement as many other countries are testing this too. We will be keeping our delivery service going and offering everyone who has booked in with us over the next two weeks a takeaway meal. We will also be re-opening our pop-up, The Little Chartroom on the Prom this weekend. This will help us keep our staff and our heads above water.”
