The First Minister has issued figures today at St Andrew’s House of the number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.



The figures as at 9 October 2020 are as follows: 

Number of new cases of Covid-19 reported today –  1246  new cases which is 16.2% of those tested  

Total number of cases is now 37,033

Number of deaths reported today of people who have tested positive –  6  (A total of 2,544 deaths in total under that measurement.) 

Number of people in Intensive Care Units in Scotland –  33  

Number of people in hospital with recently confirmed Covid-19 – 397  

Public Health Scotland confirmed that the number of new cases in Lothian is 192
