Police have appealed for help to trace 26-year-old Isabelle Watson who went missing whilst walking the Southern Upland Way, from Traquair cemetery carpark, with her father and sister.

At some point in the walk she decided to turn round and head back to the car park but became lost.

Isabelle was last seen at around 2pm yesterday afternoon before contacting her father around 5:30pm to say she had got lost on the hill.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for her safety and welfare.

She is described as white, around 5’5”, heavy build with brown shoulder length hair.

She was wearing a denim jacket and a purple backpack at the time of her disappearance and had blue shiny raincoat in her bag that she may be wearing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are appealing to the public who may have been around the Innerleithen to St Mary’s Loch area who have seen Isabelle to contact police quoting incident 3115 27/09/202.”
