After helping the club to the Scottish Cup final, he had to be content with a place on the bench however made a significant contribution after coming on as a substitute.

With time running out, he sent a perfect corner to the front post which Anthony Stokes headed into the net to grab an equaliser then in time added on he entered the history books with another perfectly flighted corner form which David Gray scored the winner, ending 114-years of heartbreak for the club.

The phrase ‘Henderson to Deliver’ was made famous by Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker as the ball was in the air and now has a song name after it as well as a ringtone.

Henderson spent the latter part of last season on loan at Empoli  and helped them secure a promotion play-off place in the second tier, however, Lecce  won the race for his signature.

The Puglia-based club were relegated from the top flight last term and Henderson is keen to help them back into the top-flight.

He has been based in Italy since January 2018 when he joined Bari from Celtic before joining Hellas Verona a year later, helping them win promotion to Serie A.
