Hibs Development Squad midfielder Tommy Block has reached an agreement with the club to depart Easter Road.
The 20-year-old former Brighton and Hove Albion trainee is keen to pursue regular first-team football and leaves with a year of his contract remaining and the best wishes of everyone at Hibernian
Neil Lennon signed Block in January 2019 from Bognor Regis after a trial stint and he was immediately named as a substitute for the 4-0 Scottish Cup victory over Elgin City but was not used.
He also played for Havant & Waterlooville and Chichester City as a teenager and enjoyed a successful loan spell with Queen’s Park last season.
A statement on the club’s website read: “He applied himself with total commitment on and off the park, featuring in our specially arranged Development Squad games programme, and will always be welcome back in Edinburgh.”
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
