NEW CUILLIN SHOWHOME OPENS ITS DOORS AT SILVER GLEN
Allanwater Homes has opened its brand new, professionally interior designed Cuillin four bedroom showhome at its Silver Glen development in Alva.
The showhome once again showcases the work of Allanwater Homes in house interior designers of choice – Steven Burgess Furniture & Interiors of Arnprior, Stirling – and is also the very first showhome in Scotland to feature a Michel Roux Jr kitchen, which has been designed and manufactured in association with top UK kitchen company, Moores. Along with many industry leading names, Moores Kitchens are one of Allanwater Homes suppliers, which come together to offer Silver Glen buyers a superb “as standard” specification in their new home.
“An exciting contemporary twist, with modern bold interiors, which makes use of dramatic statement wallpaper in a number of rooms,” is how Steven Burgess Furniture & Interiors describes the new showhome.
Buyers will be wowed by the stunning open plan kitchen/lounge with its exotic dark green feature wall depicting palm leaves, with rustic wooden furniture, and comfortable oatmeal sofa trimmed with vivid teal to match the striking cushions and accessories.
This décor is the perfect match to the Michel Roux Jr kitchen at the other end of the room, which has units in a mix of sage green and golden wood. The kitchen, which also features sleek integrated appliances from Miele, has a stylish sink in dark grey. The kitchen is accessorised by a rustic picnic style dining table.
The flooring in the hallway is a luxury vinyl, wood style plank in a “Latte” colour from The Flooring Company at Causewayhead, Stirling. The restful aqua coloured leaf design wallpaper from designer Nina Campbell continues through into the living room.
Another feature wall can be seen in the Dining Room, with wallpaper by GP&J Baker called “California”. The design of stylised exotic flowers and foliage in a teal and burnt ochre colourway, is truly eye catching, and complements the wooden dining table, with its black leather style dining chairs. The gold coloured leafy table mats on the table bring the outside greenery of the garden inside.
Upstairs to the Master Bedroom, and an upholstered King Size sleigh bed, from Steven Burgess, takes centre stage, in a citrus lime green weave fabric. This is complemented with full-length designer curtains by “Camengo” in “Margo”, a leafy passion flower design with rope style tiebacks in a zesty lime colour. The bedside cabinets have a chalky driftwood top with off white painted drawers.
Bedroom two features another luxurious hardwood, painted sleigh bed in an ivory colour, complemented by a cane work style storage chest with a chalky driftwood finish. The wallpaper is by Caselio, depicting exotic birds in flight with a leafy foliage background. Full length curtains in a rich blue velvet. Two lotus leaf table lamps.
The third bedroom in the Cuillin has a large floral mural wallpaper with a dark teal background incorporating blue and pale pink chalky flowers. The double sized wooden “Lochrie” bed has a retro 60’s stick headboard and legs.
Those who wish to work from home will love Bedroom Four which has been decorated as a Home Office. Two walls are covered in Casamange “Borrowmee” wallpaper, a storm blue colour with amber and caramelised ochres depicting an ethnic design of exotic leaves and seed pods, whilst the other walls are in a Dulux stone colour.
The double sized extending office desk has a natural oak top, navy painted legs and two interesting desk lamps. There are also two chairs in an Eames style with faux leather.
“We hope that prospective buyers from all over the Hillfoots and beyond will love this new showhome, which certainly takes things to another level in terms of styling and current trends,” said Silver Glen Sales Advisor, Lynn McNair. “Each room is mesmerising, showing off our finishing and specification to a tee, and presenting an on trend look which is still very achievable in your own home. We hope that it will inspire all who view.”
Lynn finished by saying that she was delighted that Allanwater Homes had achieved the coup of becoming the first Scottish showhome to have the Michel Roux Jr Kitchen.
“It’s a real thrill for us. These are fabulous kitchens, built with real care and attention to detail, which a Michelin chef has endorsed. It’s fantastic that Hillfoots buyers can now choose these kitchens for themselves. Overall, I think our specification is one of the very best around, and represents excellent value for money.”
The Allanwater Homes specification at Silver Glen offers Rocha Sanitaryware, built in Appliances with Induction Hob, Thermostatic Shower, Moore Kitchen selection, USB chargers, and monoblock driveway.
