This year the Hibernian Community Foundation’s Christmas Appeal hopes to raise enough money to achieve their 2020 vision – to deliver 5000 hot meals to children through after-school activities across Edinburgh.
By providing a nutritious, hot meal – together with physical activity sessions and advice on healthy eating – the Foundation hope to help tackle food poverty at its source.
In their recent Fans Survey the message came through loud and clear that you would like to see the Foundation deliver projects that will help alleviate food poverty.
£10 is enough to provide hot, nutritious meals, a piece of fruit and a bottle of water for two children.
£100 would be enough to do the same for a whole class.
Donations can be made through the club’s website.
