Challenge Cup: Glasgow Clan 3, Fife Flyers 2; Dundee Stars 4, Belfast Giants 3

Mathieu Roy silenced travelling Fife Flyers fans with the game-winner less than two minutes from time for Glasgow Clan.

Earlier, Tim Crowder netted the opener after ten minutes for Fife at Braehead and Scott Pitt levelled for the home side eight minutes later.

James Livingston fired Fife ahead for a second time on the power play after 28 minutes but Mikael Lidhammar equalised when Flyers had a man in the sin bin with less than nine minutes left.

And Roy slotted the crucial third for Clan 1min 34sec from time.

Colton Kroeker netted the game-winner as Dundee Stars completed a Challenge Cup double over Belfast Giants.

His score came 1min 58sec from the final whistle after Stars three times came from behind to snatch the points and consolidate top position in the four-strong section.

Sunday fixtures feature Fife at home to Dundee (face-off 5.30pm) and Glasgow at Manchester Storm (also 5.30pm).

Murrayfield Racers are at home to Solway Sharks in the National Ice Hockey League North Cup (face-off 6pm).
