A new Travelodge will open before Christmas at Edinburgh Park, and there are jobs available.
The company hopes to help local unemployed parents return to work by offering then jobs in the hotel as part of their parents’ jobs pledge.
This will be a 70-room hotel featuring premium economy SuperRooms and a restaurant called The Bar Café. In all the landlord has invested £6.5million at South Gyle Broadway.
There will be openings for 20 people from the local area with flexible working hours fitting around school timetables, a supporting work buddy and access to management training.
Positions include: Hotel Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager, Receptionist, Bar Café Team Member, Supervisor, and Housekeeping Team Member, as well as support roles at head office.
David Handyside-cook, Regional Director for Scotland said: “We are delighted to be opening our 11th hotel in Edinburgh and our 46th hotel in Scotland this year. Our priority right now is to build a great team to operate Edinburgh Park Travelodge and its perfect timing that this recruitment fits into the second phase of our parents recruitment programme that pledges 1,500 jobs. This includes 100 jobs across Scotland and 20 for Edinburgh Park Travelodge.”
