SGB Championship: Berwick Bandits 55, Somerset Rebels 35

Jye Ethridge, Dany Gappmaier (pictured) and Nikolaj Busk Jacobsen each scored 11 points as lowly Berwick Bandits brushed aside third-placed Somerset Rebels 55-35 in the SGB Championship in the Borders.

Former Berwick racer Ben Barker, who was guesting for Rebels, top scored with 15 points but danger man Rory Schlein misfired, scoring only three points from four outings.

The win moves Berwick from second-bottom to eighth position in the 11-strong table.

Meanwhile, second-placed Glasgow Tigers visit Newcastle Diamonds, who are ninth, on Sunday (6.30pm) in the SGB Championship.
