Until Friday 16 August, The Centre is encouraging shoppers to get up close and personal with these spectacular creatures. To mark the dinosaurs’ first visit to Livingston, there will be an array of dinosaur-themed activities taking place including an exciting dinosaur trail, arts and crafts, the chance to meet a Professor of Dinosaurology and competitions galore.

Budding paleontologists can look forward to going on a dino-hunt around The Centre to track down the colossal creatures. From one of the largest dinosaurs to ever walk the planet – the giant Brachiosaurus, a giraffe-like herbivore, to the striking Triceratops and the ferocious but much-loved T. Rex.

Children can collect a trail booklet from the Customer Service Desk near Topshop which will help them with their search. Every dinosaur will have a letter next to them and once the  mini-explorers have found all the letters and rearranged them to guess the missing word they can return to the Customer Service Desk where they will receive an official certificate and sticker. Every week, all entrants will be added into a prize draw to win a £50 Gift Card to shop, eat and play at The Centre.

There’s also an extra chance to win a £50 Gift Card as little ones can go on a dinosaur egg hunt where ten dino eggs will be hidden in the windows of certain stores for eagle-eyed children to spot.

Ashley Bisland, Deputy Centre Director at The Centre, said:

“At The Centre we know how important it is for families to keep little ones entertained during the summer holidays and that’s why we’ve put together an exciting programme of free family fun with a prehistoric twist!

“Whether they’re taking a walk on the wild side with our fantastic dinosaur trail, getting fossil facts from our Professor of Dinosaurology or spotting cute dinosaur eggs in our store windows, we’re sure that this will be a summer to remember here at The Centre.”

All activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages. Visit www.thecentrelivingston.com to find more details of what’s on and opening hours, or check out the Shop The Centre Facebook page.
