Knockout Cup, quarter-final, second-leg: Staggs Bar Edinburgh Monarchs 67, Scunthorpe Scorpions 23 (agg: 108-72)

Josh Pickering powered to 14 points as The Staggs Bar Edinburgh Monarchs stung Scunthorpe Scorpions to roar into the semi-finals of the Knockout Cup.

The Armadale-based combine lost the first-leg 49-41 but injury-hit Scorpions were no match for the Scots who moved ahead on aggregate after only three heats in West Lothian.

Rampant Monarchs won ten of the heats by 5-1 with skipper Ricky Wells chipping in with 13 points.

And the home side were never troubled by the visitors who lost Josh Auty with a suspected broken wrist mid-way through the meeting.

Guest Lewis Miller, who came in to replace Jason Garrity whose van broke down en route to Armadale, failed to score and their top riders were Danny Ayres and Jake Allen with seven points each.
