The Scottish Police Authority (SPA) has announced the appointment of Malcolm Graham as Deputy Chief Constable (DCC) with Police Scotland.

The appointment follows a rigorous process of recruitment and selection conducted by the SPA.

Announcing the appointment, Susan Deacon, Chair of the SPA said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Malcolm Graham as Deputy Chief Constable with Police Scotland.

“Malcolm is a highly experienced police leader who will bring a range of valuable skills and experience to this senior role. “I am in no doubt that he will make an important contribution to the leadership of Police Scotland as it continues to adapt for the future.” Chief Constable Iain Livingstone added: “Malcolm is being appointed after a robust recruitment process which attracted an exceptional group of applicants. “He is an outstanding police officer with a track record in public service and in leading engagement with key partners on a nationwide scale. “Police Scotland has a strong and stable leadership team and I am confident Malcolm’s promotion will strengthen it further.”
