The Atholl Palace Hotel has it down to a T!

“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as Afternoon Tea.” So said the author Henry James in “Portrait of a Lady.”

At Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry they will most certainly agree with that sentiment!

The four star Hotel is inviting capital dwellers to escape the urban rush and come up to Highland Perthshire for a delicious afternoon tea, served in its Verandah Restaurant with its stunning views out across the Tummel Valley.

This “must have” traditional tea, (or coffee), starts with freshly cut finger sandwiches with a choice of tempting fillings, followed by homemade scones, and assorted sweet treats, such as miniature chocolate brownies, vanilla slices, caramel shortcakes and raspberry cheesecake shots – all beautifully presented on a silver tiered tray.

At £22 per person, the afternoon tea is an affordable and indulgent treat, ideal for a midweek day off, or a weekend escape to the fresh Perthshire air.
