Murrayfield Racers hopes of adding the play-off crown to the Scottish National League title have been dashed.

They lost 5-0 in the final at Dundee Ice Arena to Paisley Pirates and veteran Martin Cingel was hurt during the game.

Elsewhere, Fife Flyers lost 4-2 at home to Glasgow Clan who finished fourth in the Elite League.

Dundee Stars edged Guildford Flames 4-3 in their final league game but they failed to make the play-offs.

And Cardiff Devils, the long-time leaders of the Elite League, lost 3-1 at Coventry Blaze.

The result means Belfast Giants take the title.
