Stenhouse Trout Fishery may be in Fife but it is hugely popular with anglers from the Lothians and Edinburgh.

Why? Because it is only 35 minutes from Scotland’s Capital and consistently produces quality fishing throughout the year.

Nigel Duncan visited Stenhouse on the day that it hosted the Scierra Pairs, one of Britain’s leading fly fishing competitions.

Here is a factfile in case you wish to take a trip across the Forth to Stenhouse.

Background: Stenhouse is situated above Burntisland and the water was formerly used for a distillers in the town. John Callison has been in charge for over seven years and anglers from Edinburgh, West and Midlothian, all over Fife and from Dundee, are regulars.
