Working parties are set to get underway at Armadale Stadium ahead of the new speedway season.

Edinburgh Monarchs bosses plan to start work on Saturday, March 2 at 10am, with activity continuing each Saturday and Sunday up to the start of the season.

A spokesman said: “Over the past couple of years a hardy bunch of volunteers has worked fantastically to improve many areas of the stadium.

“The aim this year is to continue this good work with tasks including painting, weeding and general maintenance.

“It is a great opportunity to spend some time with fellow speedway fans in a relaxing environment with a real sense of accomplishment as improvements are made.

“All of the required tools and equipment are supplied. Just bring some old warm clothing to work in.”

There will also be work on-going on some weekdays as the season approaches and the contact number is info@edinburghmonarchs.co.uk.
