The local activists’ group ‘Power to the People’, in conjunction with Edinburgh University’s Centre for Open Learning, are bringing something new and old, a free archaeology course ‘Making Connections’ with talks and trips open to all.
The venue will be Royston Wardieburn Community Centre, 11 Pilton Drive North EH5 1 NF , from Tuesday 15th January 10am to 12 noon.
The course plans to use Scotland and North Edinburgh’s archaeological heritage, our coastline, our sites and archives to examine North Edinburgh from the ice-age onwards as our ancestors adapted and influenced their environment to leave their imprint, still discoverable to the present day.
This course is not just about Kings and Queens but how people changed their world.
