Hibs moved into second place in the table thanks to an impressive 3-0 away win over Dundee at Dens Park this afternoon.

Neil Lennon made three changes to the starting XI that beat Kilmarnock last weekend with Mark Milligan, Paul Hanlon and Vykintas Slivka replacing Ryan Porteous, Steven Whittaker, and Emerson Hyndman.

Jamie Maclaren missed out due to a back strain.

After a lacklustre start, Daryl Horgan headed wide from a David Gray cross then the skipper set up Stevie Mallan but his strike from 12-yards was blocked.

Dundee had a penalty claim when Kharl Madianga went down inside the area but was booked for simulation.

Just before the break, the impressive Gray reached the bye line before cutting the ball back to Florian Kamberi but his effort was blocked and the Hibs’ skipper stayed down at the side of the pitch.

Whatever Lennon said to his players at half-time seemed to work because they started the send half with all guns blazing.

Steven Whittaker replaced the injured Gray then Kamberi almost opened the scoring in the 46th minute with a superb curling shot which rebounded off the crossbar before Whittaker’s follow up was pushed over for a corner.

Six minutes later Hibs took a deserved lead when Martin Boyle slid through a superb ball for Kamberi, who found the net with the deftest of touches, to the delight of the large and noisy travelling support.

Three minutes later Boyle made it 2-0 after driving into the box and unleashing a fine strike across Elliot Parish into the net.

Mallan almost made it 3-0 with a fine strike from 30-yards but his effort was deflected wide.

Hibs continued to press forward and Kamberi headed wide from a Mark Milligan cross before substitute Thomas Agyepong went close after some skilful build up play.

The on-loan winger wasn’t to be denied however and added a third with two minutes remaining after ghosting past two defenders before driving the ball past Parish into the net.
