From 1 September 2018 you are invited to register your group for the New York City Tartan Day Parade 2019.
It is great fun to march with your kilted friends making your way up Sixth Avenue which is closed for the duration of the parade.
There are pipe bands, dancers, clans, dogs and all sorts of Scottish organisations represented.
Groups and individuals are invited to march in the 21st Annual Tartan Day Parade on Saturday, April 6, 2019, by registering at nyctartanweek.org.
There is NO charge to march in or to attend the Parade.
The Parade steps off at 2:00pm near the Algonquin Hotel at West 44th Street and proceeds up 6th Avenue to 55th Street.
Line-up is at 1:00pm and will be on the two side streets, W44th and W45th east of 6th Avenue.
6 April is designated as National Tartan Day in the US as declared by the US President. It is a day for the Americans and Scots to get together and celebrate their heritage.
In the days leading up to the parade there are usually many Scottish related events.
