This is the first brochure under the new organisational name, Capital Theatres, as they announce their redesigned Autumn/Winter 2018/19 programme, now available online or by picking up a copy at their venues.
There are details of shows until February 2019, and it is a singularly eclectic, sometimes hissy-fit hectic, ever electric fun and stunning packed Autumn/Winter ahead at the King’s and Festival Theatres and the Studio (Potterrow), featuring the very best in live drama, dance, comedy and music.
Highlights at the Festival Theatre include Calendar Girls the Musical, the return of the fabulous Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. the National Theatre’s touring production of Macbeth directed by Rufus Norris and Scottish Ballet returning for their fifth Christmas season with festive favourite Cinderella.
At the King’s a terrific season of drama includes Sharon Small in Still Alice, a new stage adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula,
Rebus making his Edinburgh stage debut, Young Ones actors Ade Edmondson and Nigel Planer reunited in Vulcan VII and the return of Beauty & the Beast as the King’s panto, last performed as the panto at the King’s in 1946.
