Elite League: Braehead Clan 3, Coventry Blaze 1; Fife Flyers 6, Edinburgh Capitals 2; Guildford Flames 7, Dundee Stars 3

Bottom club Edinburgh Capitals were beaten 6-2 by Fife Flyers at Kirkcaldy with Danick Gauthier and Shayne Stockton both netting a doubles for the home side.

Capitals were 2-0 down after the first session, Carlo Finucci and Gauthier netting.

Stockton made it 3-0 before Nikita Kolesnikovs pulled one back but Stockton netted again for 4-1.

Kolesnikovs scored again for a 4-2 scoreline at the end of the second period but Gauthier and Evan Bloodoff scored third period strikes to take the points. The pair meet at Murrayfield on Sunday at 6pm in the return.

Braehead Clan came from behind to claim their sixth straight Elite League win.

Marc-Olivier Vellerand fired Coventry Blaze ahead after six minutes but Adam Brace levelled for the home side six minutes later.

And goals from Ryan Potulny after 16 minutes and Ville Hamalainen with 20 seconds left secured the points.

Dundee Stars slipped to their fourth straight Elite League defeat when they were beaten 7-3 at in-form Guildford Flames who notched their fourth win in a row.
