The SGB Championship Fours on Sunday, August 6 (2pm) will feature all ten clubs from the league including Glasgow Tigers, Edinburgh Monarchs and Berwick Bandits.
Rob Godfrey, vice-chairman of the British Speedway Promoters’ Association, said: “We have spent a considerable amount of time planning this event to ensure the five-man heats can take place.
“It’s not something fans get to see very often but Peterborough is a big, fast track and we feel sure it will be a terrific day of entertainment.”
Meanwhile, Edinburgh Monarchs skipper Sam Masters was praised by his Wolverhampton Wolves team manager.
Masters scored 17 points in a 53-40 defeat at SGB Premiership pace-setters Belle Vue Aces who were minus former Edinburgh skipper Craig Cook (back injury).
Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “We were second best, Belle Vue were the better team.
“I don’t think Sam Masters deserved to be on the losing side as he was in terrific form.”
Elsewhere, Monarchs rider Erik Riss was third top scorer with nine points as Leicester Lions gained ground in the race to avoid the wooden spoon with a 54-38 win over King’s Lynn at Beaumont Park.
