Want to learn what to do with some of those seeds you are thinking of planting this spring?
The team at B&Q want to encourage you to get outdoors and enjoy gardening and they are hosting planting demonstrations in conjunction with Sutton’s seeds at stores throughout the UK on Saturday 18th February.
A vegetable planting workshop will run at the B&Q Hermiston Gait store from 12pm to 2pm and will be hosted by the in store B&Q horticulturalists who will help to show children (and mums and dads) how to grow their own food.
Mike Norton, Market Director for Outdoor at B&Q, said: “Children will be fascinated as they see the seeds they’ve sown themselves grow into flowers and produce. Seeing the bees and butterflies visiting the flowers is a great way for them to engage with nature. And they will be so proud to see the vegetables they’ve grown themselves make it in to their dinner!”
The B&Q planting workshops will take place at B&Q Hermiston Gait, Hermiston Gait Retail Park, Edinburgh, EH11 4DG on Saturday 18th February 2017 between 12pm and 2pm.
