Edinburgh Monarchs are expected to have a rider in the Ben Fund Bonanza at Glasgow on Sunday, March 12 and Tigers Richie Worrall can’t wait.

Richard Lawson and Aaron Summers join Worrall with Nike Lunna likely to line up at reserve.

Former Tigers Ben Barker and James Sarjeant are also listed with Barker the only rider to have competed in all eight previous events, winning at Birmingham in 2012.

Berwick Bandits’ Kevin Doolan and Lewis Bridger will take part with Newcastle represented by former Edinburgh Monarchs star Stevie Worrall and Workington have Thomas Jorgensen and Ty Proctor.

It is the intention of Ben Fund chief Paul Ackroyd to have at least a couple of Grand Prix riders racing.

Worrall will be competing in his fourth Bonanza and said: “As soon as I saw it was at Glasgow I asked to be in the meeting.

“It’s for a good cause – for a couple of years now I’ve not had to call on the Ben Fund though it did help me out a few years ago.”
