A police investigation is underway after items were stolen from properties in Little France House in Edinburgh.

The thefts took place during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The stolen property included a handbag, a tablet and a television set.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating the theft of items from two homes in Little France House on Thursday 19th January.

“Officers received a call from one occupant at around 1.30 a.m. who reported that her property had been entered and a handbag was stolen from inside.

“A second call was then received at around 2.40 a.m. from a victim reporting that a tablet device and tv were stolen from their home.

“Inquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and anyone with information is asked to come forward.”
