A hat-trick from 17-year-old Jamie Gullan helped a young Hibernian XI side beat Lowland League Gala Fairydean 5-0 at Netherdale last night.
Hibs dominated the game and struck the woodwork on several occasions.
Striker Oli Shaw almost opened the scoring in the first minute but his powerful effort rebounded off the junction of the post and crossbar.
Moments later Gullan made it 1-0 with a superb long range effort.
Ben Stirling was forced to leave the field with an injury before Gullan added a second from close range after some great work down the left wing by Callum Crane.
Shaw made it 3-0 just before the break with a well taken shot from the edge of the area.
Gullan showed some great skill to complete his hat trick with 14 minutes left then Adam Watson tapped in a late goal to secure a 5-0 victory.
The Hibernian Development Squad are in SFA Youth Cup action on Sunday 22 January at Ainslie Park, with the game kicking off at 2pm.
