A police investigation is on-going after a gun was fired at a property on the corner of Glasgow Road and Station Road in Ratho around 6am this morning.
The area remains cordoned off as forensics teams carried out work at the scene
No one was hurt in the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh attended at an address in Ratho around 6am on Tuesday September 20 after reports of a firearm discharge.
“No one was hurt in the incident and inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances.”
