Six year old Freya Henderson from South Queensferry is having her long hair cut off next Wednesday, the day before the schools break up for the summer holidays. She wants to be able to show all her classmates her new short hair cut before the holidays begin.
And it is all in a good cause. A friend at school told her about the Little Princess Trust, and their good work in providing wigs for children who have lost their hair following cancer treatment.
Freya went straight home and told her parents that she wanted to have her hair cut short so that she could donate it to the charity. The seven inches of her beautiful golden locks will be cut off at home and sent to the Little Princess Trust. Freya explained why she wanted to do this: “I think it is a nice thing to do.”
She has also set up a JustGiving page where you can make any donation.
Harry Styles donated his hair to the Little Princess Trust in May which brought them lots of publicity. Anyone else thinking of having their locks shorn?
