Alan Stubbs is looking forward to getting back to league action tonight against Raith Rovers, following three cup matches in a row.

The Hibs’ Head Coach is anticipating a tough match at Stark’s Park, but he feels as if the squad can draw on the positive performance and result against Inverness on Wednesday night and he insists that everyone at the club knows what has to be done between now and the end of the season.

Hibs now sit in third place in the Championship, six points behind Falkirk with three games in hand so a victory in Fife is vital in the race for second place.

Speaking to Hibs TV he said: “It feels like it’s been a while since we encountered our league format and it would be nice to get back to it because it is our priority.

“We go to Kirkcaldy and we know it is going to be a difficult game, as it always is there, but one where last night’s result will give us plenty of confidence going into it.

“We know Raith Rovers will have a threat but we go there and try and stamp our authority on the game and if we do that we will have a good chance of winning the game.

“We know what we have to do between now and the end of the season

“In terms of results recently for us it’s been disappointing which we had three defeats in a week which was a real surprise when you look at our performances and chances within these games it was very surprising.

“In the cup final I though we certainly turned up and played in the game and on another day we could easily have been the victorious team.

“I though the response from the players (against Inverness Caledonian Thistle) was great but what I expect anyway.

“We have a lot of games (in April) but that’s because of how we have been doing this season especially in the cups and also because we have players called up for international duty which is great for the club and the players involved as well.”
