Transport for Edinburgh is offering passengers across Edinburgh and the Lothians the chance to win free flights or travel tickets by inviting Santa on their favourite bus and tram routes.

Teaming up with Jet2.com, Jet2 Holidays and Edinburgh Airport, Santa will appear on selected Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams during December to delight passengers with early Christmas presents including Jet2.com flights as well as Transport for Edinburgh travel tickets, Edinburgh Airport shopping vouchers and other goodies.

Passengers can get involved on Twitter and Facebook using the #TakeMe2Santa fun by tweeting or posting the route they’d like to see Santa travel on.

The routes will then be selected and clues will be shared with followers as to which exact bus or tram along that route Santa will appear on.

Nigel Serafini, Head of Commercial, Lothian Buses said: “Christmas is a particularly busy time and lots of our customers depend on Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams over the festive season.

“We are delighted to team up with Jet2.com and Edinburgh Airport to make journeys that little bit extra special and to get us all into the festive mood. Our partnership serves as a reminder that buses and trams are great value, frequent and reliable methods of getting to and from Edinburgh Airport all year round.”

The campaign has been created to complement the partnership’s #TakeMe2 campaign that was launched by Edinburgh Airport last month.

Gordon Dewar, the CE of Edinburgh Airport, said: “The chance to tweet and invite Santa to your neighbourhood AND win a pair of flights by simply tweeting or posting on Facebook is an exciting prospect and I’m sure #TakeMe2Santa will capture kids’ and adults’ imagination.”

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays commented:
“It’s exciting times for us next year at Edinburgh with our 12 new destinations. What better way to celebrate than by teaming up with Transport for Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport to spread some festive cheer to
