As many of you may have noticed if you have recently walked through Bruntsfield, The Edinburgh Bookshop has a charity box in their window, which is accepting gifts for Forth1 Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.
Forth 1 Cash for Kids Mission Christmas aims to make Christmas better for thousands of children across the city where 1 in 5 children live in poverty.
Having helped many local kids last year, Mission Christmas is a fantastic campaign, which improves the festive season for many, as it can often be a difficult time of year that echoes the issues of the deprived.
Marie Moser, owner of The Edinburgh Bookshop exclaimed: “Last year we gave something like 90 presents and I am confident that we will beat that this year. We will also be donating £200 worth of books.” When asked why, Moser explains, “It’s a good message at this time of year as it reminds to give,” one of the key messages we can often lose sight of during the festive season.
To donate to The Edinburgh Bookshop’s Mission Christmas appeal please pop into their shop in Bruntsfield with a gift for their charity box.
