All this week Hibs are looking to highlight the great and the good of the supports who go the extra mile for others in their  Random Act of Kindness week. First up is nine year old Farrah Robb who has  smashed her fundraising target thanks in part to the generosity of Hibs’ fans

Farah took to the Easter Road pitch at half time of Saturday’s match with Falkirk to lose 16 inches of hair, with fellow Hibee Colin McAndrew, owner of the Medusa chain of hairdressers, doing the honours.

Through her JustGiving page Farrah, a pupil at Liberton Primary, has now raised over £1,800, smashing her £1,500 target! All monies raised will go to CCLASP, who help children and teenagers suffering from cancer or leukaemia, while the hair has been given to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

Speaking before Saturday’s haircut, Farrah said: ‘I wanted to raise as much money as I could to help children who are not very well.  I’ve seen a lot of adults raise money for charity but thought it would be nice for a kid to help out,’. ‘My cut-off pleats will be donated to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children without hair. I am feeling excited yet nervous but I’ll be fine on the day.’

Those keen to help Farrah reach her target can donate any amount large or small via her Just Giving page
