Street Soccer Scotland are currently planning their annual Christmas Day homeless football event in partnership with Crisis which will be held at the Meadows in Edinburgh.

Many of the adult players do not have suitable footwear for playing or warm / waterproof clothing so Street Soccer are appealling for any old or unwanted boots or trainers, waterproofs, coats, hats etc. which you may be able to access which could  be distributed to players on Christmas Day and over the festive season. Donations can be handed in to the Hibernian Learning Centre which is based in the south stand of the Easter Road stadium, during normal office hours (9am-5pm).

Street Soccer Scotland is a charity which provides a range of free community football programmes and services to socially disadvantaged young people and adults across Edinburgh and the other main Scottish cities. Their core work is with adults who may be affected by homelessness, poverty, isolation, addiction, mental health issues etc.  They use football as a tool for engagement to build the self-esteem, confidence and personal development of participants with up to 200 participants attending sessions in Edinburgh each week.
