Fortune Promotions will host a special Hogmanay party to send the old year off at The Counting House, just above the Pear Tree pub.
The event will showcase some local Edinburgh acts, as well as some enchanting acts including a palm reader and fortune teller, face painting and mask making, and an acoustic attic for a more relaxed mood.
Four-piece Ded Rabbit will headline the music side of things – a band who have played alongside The 1975, made appearances at several festivals nationwide, and headlined the Saturday night slot on the T Break stage at T in the Park 2015.
Indigo Velvet are the other band that will play alongside Ded Rabbit. The band have already supported several local bands, and have headlined at Electric Circus to promote their newest single.
Steven Mackay, the owner of Fortune Promotions, said: “New Year is a time to have a huge party and celebrate with your friends, doing what you love.
“The selection of acts for this event in our eyes is the perfect way to bring in 2016 – fun, exciting, energetic and have a bright musical future.
“Since 2012, when we first started up Fortune Promotions, we have worked closely with the staff at The Pear Tree, Counting House and Blind Poet, including owner Brian Dobie. Over the years we have had some great memories in these three bars and it became quite a musical hub for myself and many other bands and musicians.”
The event will start at 8pm on New Year’s Eve and is expected to end at 3am. Early Bird tickets are £15 and can purchased now from See Tickets.
