In association with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, The Whisky Lounge is bringing something exciting and different to Edinburgh.
[tweet_box design=”default”]On the Solstice weekend there will be a spectacular live concert and evening of whisky tasting and fun in the beautiful, but normally private Queen Street Gardens.[/tweet_box]The Sundown promises entertainment in the form of local Edinburgh boy Stu Larsen, playing an exclusive acoustic set from his 2014 Vagabond album as well as high-energy blues from The Dan Hudson Band. Stu rarely gets to play in his native Edinburgh and this is a rare chance to catch him before he embarks on a European Tour for much of 2015, and Dan is one of the finest young electric blues guitarists on the circuit and has been compared to a young, Bluesbreaker-era Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
While listening to this incredible pairing customers can look forward to tasting some amazing whiskies from a vast selection from the SMWS as well as their innovative whisky ice-cream and all-night BBQ. But as well as this we will also have a reasonably priced bar, a Champagne bar, plenty of delicious craft beer on tap and a huge BBQ for you to enjoy.
A chance to kick back with some top whisky (or wine!) and enjoy the superb and exclusive acoustic set from Stu Larsen and the high-octane blues from The Dan Hudson Band.
A little different to any of our events to date. The Solstice Sun Down is all about relaxing and enjoying some great drinks with some great music and with the gorgeous surroundings of the Queen St Gardens it should be a belter. You will also get a host of freebies included with your ticket from Whisky, exclusive discounts and even whisky ice cream too.
Eddie Ludlow, founder of The Whisky Lounge, said; ‘This is a fantastic opportunity to show off what we love the most – whisky and music. To have the quality of whisky and music we will have under one roof is immensely exciting and the 200 lucky people who manage to get tickets will be delighted with the show.’
The event takes place from 7pm to 10pm in Queen Streen Gardens.
Tickets for the event are £20 and can be bought exclusively through itison.com.
