Hibs’ Head Coach Alan Stubbs anticipates a tough task for his players against Raith Rovers at Starks Park this afternoon.

Hibs currently sit fourth in the Championship, three points behind Queen of the South and two ahead of Falkirk, so three points is vital to remain in the play-off positions

Stubbs told Hibs TV: “It will be another competitive game. At home, I felt we had the majority of the game, but they scored a goal that we probably should’ve defended better.

“We know it’s going to be difficult and another challenge for us ahead of the two big games over the Christmas period against Rangers and Hearts.

“We’ve prepared properly for what we know will be another tough test for the team.”

One layer who will not feature however is Jordon Forster who was scheduled to feature for the under-20s against Hamilton at Ainslie Park on Thursday afternoon, but missed that fixture after undergoing an operation.

Stubbs added: “Unfortunately Jordon was taken ill on Tuesday and he was rushed into hospital – he has since had his appendix removed.

“That was done on Thursday morning; he’s had keyhole surgery and we’re hopefully he’ll make a good recovery.

“He’s feeling a bit rough and a bit sore at the moment, so we will pop over to see him later on.”
