Small Business Saturday takes place today. “This is a grassroots, non-political, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.”
It is a way of inspiring and promoting small businesses today and beyond today. We tweeted to ask for Edinburgh businesses who were getting involved to get in touch.
Some people were not sure what it meant….. but we will include their tweets here anyway. They are all local businesses who are pretty small…..we think – so they deserve a mention. Otherwise the hashtag is #SmallBizSatUK
