Police  investigating the road collisions at the Jim Clark Rally on Saturday afternoon are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police are particularly interested to speak to anyone who may have video footage or photographs of the rally, and which may have captured the collisions.

The first collision occurred at 2.05pm near Eccles, while the second collision occurred at around 4pm near Little Swinton.

Enquiries are at an early stage, but investigations are continuing and there is still some police activity at the scene.

Detective Superintendent Kenneth Graham, who is leading the investigation, said: “We would ask that anyone who has any video footage or photographs, or has any other information that may help with our investigation, to contact police immediately on 101.”
