Police have cordoned off an Edinburgh Park after the body of a man was discovered around 7.30am this morning.
A tent has been constructed within Victoria Park in the Newhaven area and forensic officers are at the scene.
It is not yet know whether there are any suspicious circumstances as investigations are at an “early stage”.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Officers from Police Scotland are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a man in Victoria Park today.
“The body was found at around 7.30am and inquiries are at an early stage.”
