Isn’t it funny how you become very popular with friends and family during August, which just happens to coincide with the Edinburgh Festival??!! Well, if you’ve got guests and you’re looking to give them a true taste of Scottish hospitality – the award-winning Mercat Bar & Restaurant in Edinburgh’s West End, is running full-day whisky tours, every Wednesday this month, including a visit to the renowned Rosslyn Chapel.
For £75pp they’ll take you on an escorted tour, departing from the Mercat Bar at 10:30am to the Glenkinchie Distillery in East Lothian, followed by a sumptuous, three-course Scottish lunch at their sister venue the Mercat Grill with whisky matching to complement the courses, a visit to Rosslyn Chapel and returning to the Mercat Bar late afternoon.
The price includes all transport, entrance fees, lunch + whisky tastings and you’ll even get a complimentary Mercat whisky glass as a memento!
